RE: New rules and national/state emphasis of current rules
New rules:
4-5.9g A competitor views a videotape or any other visual reproduction of the competitor’s performances prior to the completion of the event (shall lead to disqualification). (CCS: no digital camera views, no pix phones)
7-3.9 Warming-up shall not be allowed in any jumping venue unless supervised by an official and, in the pole vault, poles have been inspected and approved for use (CCS: coaches sign form before any vaulting).
7-3.10 Competitors in the jumping events…….advantage. In addition, illegal aids shall include pushing the vaulter on his/her back at take-off in the pole vault, in warm-ups or in competition. (CCS: not in warm-ups)
Case Study Interpretations that apply to the CCS meets:
4.5.9 Pole vaulter disqualified for viewing digital pictures (back of camera) during the competition.
7.2.10 Pole vaulter disqualified during warm-ups for being pushed in the back on a jump. (CCS: note, no warning)
4-3.1 Athletes wearing football jersies in any meet will not be allowed to compete, even if "school issued". The same will apply to shorts, team issued track shorts shall be worn.

b. Starting heights will be determined by Meet Management after all entries are submitted. Under no circumstances will the opening height be higher than the 40th percentile of League entry marks. (It may be higher than qualifying a competitor’s best mark from the league meet!
