Minutes of Jan. 2004 SCVAL Preseason Track Meeting

Attendance

Every school was represented except for Homestead and Lynbrook.
No athletic director was there except Rick Ellis, who was attending as a coach.  The
meeting was held at Santa Clara.

CCS Minutes

A reminder for coaches about the uniform rule. Also, no cell phones allowed in the
competition area.  Athletes violating this rule, will be DQ.

Athletes and coaches can only enter through the athletes’ entrance.  Only 5 coaches or
school officials per a school can enter through this entrance. Please do not argue with
the workers.

CCS Semifinals & Finals

The following schools volunteered to work the CCS semifinals and finals:

Turn Judge - two for semifinals
Semis -  4x100 thru 100H - Fremont & Santa Clara
           -  400 thru 300H - Los Altos & Mtn. View
            - 200 thru 4x400 - Lynbrook & Homestead
High Jump Gunn

Turn Judge - two for finals
Finals - 4x100 thru 100H - Fremont and Santa Clara
          - 400 thru 300H - Wilcox & Milpitas
         - 200 thru 4x400 - Saratoga & Monta Vista
High Jump  Gunn

Qualification Meet

The Qualification Meet will be held at Los Gatos High School on May 15.  The meet
directors will be Monica Townsend and Thomas Newman.

Finishline - Gunn
Hurdles - Fremont
Shot - Milpitas
Discus - Cupertino (Ron McKee will back up)
TJ - Saratoga
HJ - Lynbrook
LJ - Mtn.View
PV - Santa Clara
Finishline Judges - Paly
Turn Judges - T1 Los Altos & Lynbrook, T2 Monta Vista & Homestead, T3 Wilcox & Fremont

CCS qualifiers need to get to CCS by 9am Tuesday May 18th at the latest.

Division Finals

The coaches adjourned to separate meetings for the Division Finals.

Finishline & Turn judges - each school will provide 2
