Accomplishment: At the Arcadia Invitational on April 8, Onyewuenyi finished 13th in the shot put with a throw of 39 feet, 5 inches -- a disappointment after setting an early season personal record of 42-1. But in the Hampton-Phillips Classic at San Jose City College on Saturday, the UC-Davis-bound senior had her thoughts set on a new personal best. She accomplished that with a distance of 42-7 on her second throw, bettering her top mark in the Central Coast Section this year by six inches. Then she set a personal record of 129-4 in the discus, the second-longest throw in the CCS this season. Onyewuenyi earned first place in both events. ``We've been working hard all year, and everything came together this weekend,'' Oak Grove throws coach Jim Ruiz said. ``She had an unbelievable meet, but we still have six more weeks of hard work ahead.''
