Dear Coach,

The King’s Academy (TKA) would like to invite you and your team to the 2nd annual TKA Sprint and Distance Carnival to be held on Saturday March 12th, 2016 at The King’s Academy in Sunnyvale, California. We are hoping this will be a one of a kind event for high schools in the area for sprinters and distance runners in the Bay Area to run with music and under the lights at night. Some things that will make our event distinct –  

·         Music during all races and relays. 

·         Races will begin at 1:00 pm and end by 9:30 pm - Sprint races will    begin at 1:00 pm and run to 5:00 pm. The distance carnival will begin at 5:30 pm and run through 9:30 pm.

·         Races will run in the following order 4x100 meter relay, 100, 200, 400, Super SMR Relay (100,100,200,400) / 1600m, 800m, 3200m, and DMR relay

·         F/S and Varsity divisions for both girls and boys

·         FAT timing

·         Inspirational music played during all races

·         Brand new track

·         Brooks Gear - for overall fastest runner and relay in each division.

·         Great food – Chick-fil-A and Tacos

·         Strict time schedule (will be posted on Thursday early in the am on March 10th).

·         Medals to the top 5 runners in each division. (Relays - only the top team will receive medals)

For more info and to signup please go to athletic.net and add the TKA Sprint and Distance Carnival 2016  to your schedule and sign up your runners by Tuesday, March 8th. The cost per entry is simply $6.00 per runner per event and $12.00 per relay. Please bring payment directly to the meet. All checks must be made out to The King’s Academy, in the memo please write TKA T+F.
