March 5, 1999 - Update #3

TEAMS
-----
Teams signed up are US West, Lock-Mart, Pac*Tel, GE, SCVAL and Ruan
has verbally committed.  TI will know by mid-march.  Army is looking at
entering a team.  Oracle is being approached and Microsoft has shown an
interest.

HOST EVENT
----------
Was contested at this past weekends Winter Corporate Relays and was well
received by the 4 teams that competed.  Lock-Mart won with a time of
10:26.5 seconds.  It was noted that this is an easier event to field for
the smaller teams since it only requires 2 people.  Unless other
suggestions are presented to the Local organizing committee (we haven't
received any specifics yet), this will be the Host Event.

T-SHIRTS
--------
Gordon Smith has taken on this responsibility and is looking at a couple
of vendors that we have worked with in the past.  Team captains, if you 
can send Gordon a guesstimate of how many shirts your team has bought in
the past, that would be of great help.  We always seem to run out early
(at least last year we did).

OPENING CEREMONIES
------------------
Andrea will be recruiting people to handle this area.  We have the Hall Of
Fame presentation as well as the Opening / Closing (?) ceremonies.  Please
be ready and willing to help.

JOBS
----
The jobs list has been updated but mostly with Danny Moon and Hank Lawson
names.  Please look it over and volunteer, these 2 individuals cannot do
everything.

ROAD RACE
---------
A comparison scoring of last years 5K road race is posted.  This compares
the proposed new scoring method with the old method.  We also have posted
USCAA records Vs USATF records.

FINANCIALS
----------
Attached (Board members only) is the EXCEL budget for our meet as well as
the quote to hold the party at Saratoga Springs.  If there are any questions,
