- Host Event - Repeat Relay:
Consits of one man and one woman. Either the man or woman must
be 40+ years old (Div I only, Div II need not the 40+ runner).
Each runner will run 400-800-400 in a alternating way (which
means you get to rest while your teammate is running). You
may start with either the man or the women, choice is up to you.
One possible race layout is as follows:
Runner A - is a 40 year old man
Runner B - is an open female
A B A B A B
400 - 400 - 800 - 800 - 400 - 400
So as you can see, you're running "Repeat Intervals" (3 of them)
and your rest time is while your teammate is running. If you
like, you could start with the woman - choice is up to the team
captain.
Div II also runs this event and the same rules apply, with the
exception of the age requirement. Div II may use all open runners
if they want to.
