MVP / MI Athletes Iron Women/Men (# of years) : - Francine Lee - Evan Smith - Kate Bossange - Stephanie Claussen (4) - Eugene Berson - Jonathan Choi - Jason Whitsett - Chris Lum - Ryan Deal (2) - Jeff Whitsett (3) SA's : At Lynbrook it usually takes a 4.0 and this year is no exception. - Chris Tang & Paul Zimmerman - JV Boys - Eugene Berson, Allen Chang, Alex Choy & Paul Yu - F/S Boys - Sofina Qureshi - JV Girls - Stephanie Claussen - Varsity Girls - Daiki Kuwahara & Kevin Perng - Varsity Boys * JVG MI (Amber Ju) : - First year running XC - Run every practice was a goal - Improved :36 on Crystal - Was usually our 9 or 10th runner but at DALs was #4 * JVG MVP (Evan Smith) : - Also a first year runner although she had some previous experience - Improved 1:30 on Lynbrook course - Was constantly a Top 5 performer with a #2 ranking at our first meet - Is ranked #8 Frosh on Lynbrook course #17 Frosh on Crystal - Is an IronWoman (even though she doesn't remember much of one race) * F/S MI (Eugene Berson) : - A first year XC runner - #4 Frosh on Lynbrook course (#8 All Time) - Improved :56 on Lynbrook course - #31 Frosh on Crystal course - Improved :18 seconds on Crystal - Was 2nd overall at DAL finals F/S - Finished with a #3 ranking for Varsity Boys (even though a Frosh) - An IronMan - And we almost lost him to Water Polo * F/S MVP (Chris Deal) : - First year running XC - Improved :30 on Lynbrook Course - Has the #1 Frosh ranking on Lynbrook course and #4 All Time - Won 1 meet and finished 2nd in 3 others - Has the #19 ranking for Frosh on Crystal - Was #2 man all year long for Varsity (even though a Frosh) - Was the DAL league champion for F/S * VG Coaches (Stephanie Claussen) : - Has run XC all 4 years - Has been Varsity all 4 years - Has been an IronWoman all 4 years - Has been a leader all 4 years - This is the kind of individual that makes the team & the sport a success * VG MI (Sasoon Kim) : - First year running XC (I detect a trend) - #3 Frosh on Lynbrook Course - #3 Frosh on Crystal - Improved 1:24 on Crystal - Improved :50 at CCS while not knowing she qualified for almost a week - Ended with the #2 ranking for VG with 3 times being the Top Vike * VG MVP (Francine Lee) : - Improved 2:44 on the Lynbrook course (and this was in the rain) - Has the #1 Soph ranking on Lynbrook course - Improved :34 on Crystal - Has the #4 Soph ranking on Crystal - Is ranked #12 All Time on Crystal - Is an IronWoman - Was our #1 girl all year except for 3 races - Ended the year with the #1 VG ranking - Our gain is Wilcox's loss * VB Coaches (Ken Chung) : - Has run XC all 4 years - Has been Varsity the last 2 years - Missed IronMan status by 1 race - he was there, just missed the start - As a Senior, he took it upon himself to assert himself which helped me - Always there with a good sense of humor and a good sense of fair play - As a Frosh he said he'd get the school record in the steeplechase, I hope he finally comes out for track * VB MI (Matt Meyer) : - Second year running XC - Ranked #18 on Lynbrook course for Juniors - Improved :47 on Crystal time - Won the Saratoga Invite, JVB - Was usually our 7th or 8th man but at DALs was #4 man. * VB MVP (Jeff Whitsett) : - Third year running XC - Third year as an IronMan - Third year running Varsity - Ranked #26 on the ALL TIME list on Lynbrook course - Ranked #10 on the ALL TIME JUNIORS list on Lynbrook course - Ranked #3 All Time Lynbrook runners on Lynbrook course - Ranked #1 on Lynbrook course for Juniors - Improved :44 seconds on Lynbrook course - Ranked #41 on ALL TIME Crystal course of Lynbrook runners - Ranked #19 on ALL TIME Crystal course for Juniors - Improved :19 seconds on the Crystal course - Was All League in the DAL finals - Was our #1 man all year long Graduating Seniors receiving their SENIOR BOOK (We will MISS them) : - Lynn Chen Chris Lum - Ken Chung Jonathan McCoy - Stephanie Claussen James Mok - Casey Courtney Kevin Perng - Ryan Deal Sofina Qureshi - Patrick Goodman Frances Shin - Steven Hsieh Chris Tang - Cecelia Leung Sam Wu - Frank Leung Paul Zimmerman
