Accomplishment: One week after running the fastest time among Central Coast Section girls at Crystal Springs at the West Catholic Athletic League championships (18 minutes over 2.95 miles), the 14-year-old cruised to victory Saturday in the Division IV CCS championships at Crystal Springs (17:53). She beat fellow freshman Taylor Johnson (San Lorenzo Valley) by 34 seconds. ``A lot of girls come into their own earlier than boys because they acquire physical strength at an earlier age,'' Valley Christian Coach Johanna Wans-Fogolin said.
