To all track and field officials, coaches, athletes and friends..On the morning of July 29th Andy unexpectedly passed away at his home in Willow Glen in San Jose. He was only 56 years old. A Memorial Mass will be held this Saturday (August 5th) morning at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church 13718 Saratoga Avenue, Saratoga, CA 95070..use mapquest or yahoo map for directions...In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations can be made to Cal Athletics, 195 Haas Pavilion, Berkeley, CA 94720; Los Gatos Track & Field, 20 High School Ct, Los Gatos, CA, or to the American Heart Association, 1 Almaden Blvd, San Jose, CA.... .let other coaches and athletics know about the services this Saturday ...Many of you have known "Andy" as the head starter at University of California; Los Gatos Gatos "All-Comer" Meets, Stanford XC and Track Invitational, CCS Top 8 Meet, and numerous other dual and invitational meets in Northern California, most recently Andy was one of the Starter's at the NCAA Championships in Sacramento and an official two weeks ago for the National Corporate Relays in Golden, Coiorado .Let's pack the church this Saturday morning and show our support to "Andy's" family and relatives....if any questions please call me or email me.
