Huang won the Saratoga Center Meet last week, covering the two-mile course in 11:51.6, just missing the course record set by former Saratoga star Alicia Follmar. It was a new personal best for Huang, who is undefeated through her first three races "She's been using the 'sit & kick' strategy, which has been working well for her," said Coach Hank Lawson. "We've been talking about taking it out harder so that she can find out what too hard is — right now she doesn't know. She runs a 2:14 half mile, so she has some speed to finish." Huang's success has led Lynbrook to a No. 12 ranking in CCS. As a freshman, Huang was Lynbrook's No. 1 runner and finished 13th in the Central Coast Section Division II championship race.
