COMPARISON OF TORO COURSE TO CRYSTAL SPRINGS COURSE Shown below is a comparison of times for those who ran their league finals at Crystal Springs and the CCS finals at Toro Park for 2006 and 2008. Also shown is the comparison of times for those who ran their league finals at Toro Park and the CCS finals at Crystal Springs for 2007. The average slowdown per runner and the median (half the runners above this slowdown and half the runners below this slowdown) slowdown is shown. The median slowdown is probably more meaningful because a significant slowdown by a few runners can distort the average slowdown. It should be noted that the fewer the runners compared for a race, then the greater risk that great or bad performances by a handful of runners will distort the neaning of the results. Most of the compared runners are in the division 1,2 and 3 races. The estimated temperature at the start of each race is shown for 2008 because the high temperatures for the 2008 races was a factor in the performances of the runners. A website showed the temperatures in Salinas at 9:53AM, 10:53AM, 11:53AM, 12:53PM, 1:53PM, and 2:53PM.BOYS
