Lynbrook's Justin Robison, Gunn's Gillian Meeks, Archbishop Mitty's Julia Lemak and Harker's Niki Iyer are among the top local hopefuls going into the state cross country finals Saturday in Fresno.

Robison and Meeks were the Division II winners at the Central Coast Section finals. Robison's winning time from the CCS meet -- with adjustments made for the Woodward Park course in Fresno -- would place him fourth among 770 entrants in the boys D-II race.

Meeks' time places her second in the girls Division II race. Lemak, the runner-up to Meeks at the CCS finals, has the fourth-best qualifying mark.

In girls Division IV, Iyer ranks third.

In team competition, St. Francis and Willow Glen in boys Division II are projected to finish second and third, again based on results from section finals. Bellarmine College Prep is sixth in boys Division I, Mitty and St. Francis seventh and eighth in girls D-II, Crystal Springs Uplands eighth in boys D-V, Homestead eighth in girls D-I and Half Moon Bay ninth in boys D-IV.
