Some heads up for the league finals on Friday, November 4th. First, here is the time schedule. 2:00pm-Coach's Meeting 2:30pm-JV Girls 3:00pm-JV Boys 3:30pm-Varsity Girls 4:00pm-Varsity Boys 4:45pm-Senior Recognition/Award Ceremony To enter your athletes, go to athletic.net and find WBAL Championships and add it to your schedule. Check the boys and girls that will be competing and you will be all set. A reminder regarding students who missed both league meets and are now able to compete at the league finals. In order to compete at the league finals, you have had to compete in at least one of the first two league meets. Here is the league bylaw. Please email me if any of your athletes were unable to compete and why and the BOM will determine if the petition for those athletes will be approved. Runners must have participated in one of the two preliminary league meets in order to participate in the finals. Extenuating circumstances may petition to BOM to allow participation. i. Prior to each league meet, coaches are mandated to send their medical or family emergency roster to the coach rep. All Petitions for the league Championship Final Meet for athletes who have not competed in the two league meets, must submit their petition to the Coach Rep before the League Entry Deadline; the Coach Rep will follow up with the Board of Managers for approval to compete. A reminder, that you need to enter your fastest athletes in the varsity races even if they have competed in the JV races the first two meets. We advance teams to CCS based on how many complete teams start out in the varsity races and by league bylaw, coaches need to place at least their top 5 runners in the varsity races (boys and girls). To qualify for CCS, the top 50% of the teams at the league finals will advance to CCS. For example, we will have 8 varsity boys teams which means the top 4 teams at the league finals automatically advance to CCS. You can also qualify to CCS if you are not one of those teams by beating the team time for your division. You can find those team times at the link below. Additionally, the top 3 individuals who are not on one of those four teams will also advance to CCS. Other individuals that also beat the at-large time for their division will also advance. Those times are also included in the link below. https://d2o2figo6ddd0g.cloudfront.net/x/d/u54qi921cetx0z/CCS_At_Large_times_22.pdf As a reminder, these are the divisions for all schools. https://d2o2figo6ddd0g.cloudfront.net/d/u/duzujvkyl9elgy/2022_XC_Division_Placement.pdf Finally, you should have all the info for the CCS meet. if not, here is the bulletin and time schedule. *Bulletin*: https://d2o2figo6ddd0g.cloudfront.net/l/p/p1fnjgdds1onlt/Cross_Country_PIB_2022.pdf *Time Schedule*: https://d2o2figo6ddd0g.cloudfront.net/p/b/t4w9myrc15akxx/cross_country_schedule_2022.pdf If you have any specific questions, please feel free to reach out to me. *Albert Caruana * www.csus.org
