Coach Jeff Fishback, an Olympic Steeplechaser in the Tokyo Olympics ('64), moved over to Cupertino HS the same year Coach Thornberg went to Homestead HS. He is currently teaching Math but is not involved with the XC/Track programs over there. He was coaching the Los Gatos HS Badminton team, where both of his children graduated from, and is an accomplished / competitive badminton player himself. Jeff is a previous winner of the prestigious Bay To Breakers race ('64) and held the course record (38:32) until 1968 when Kenny Moore ran 38:15. He's been filling any spare time he has working on old cars and just "enjoying life."
