Back in the day (1971 to be exact) a quartet from Clairemont HS (San Diego area) went after the 4x1 mile National record and came pretty darn close. Members are: Rick Lord (my SDSU teammate a few years later), Dale Fleet, Dave Harper & Mark Novak. List of current marks thru 2015.
