NOTES:
1) Sorry about the delay of results. My typist got sick, plus our duplication office
closed early because of cleaning the machines for Thanksgiving. Thus I had
to use dittos. My typing on a good machine is only marginal at best.
2) Since there was a question about the scoring in the boys race, I spent Saturday
evening and Sunday afternoon talking to coaches, officials and pushers
about the boys race. I have concluded that all the places before 60 are
correct. It was after that runner that a runner finished and collapsed;
thus several runners may be out of place by two or three places. Once
they got into the chute, there was no change.
3) In order to speed up the chute, a different scoring method will be used. A tag
will be given to each runner, and only the team members will have the adhesive
tags to collect. Thus the chute will not be as crowded as it was this year.
4) I was very worried about the girls race, but they did a much better job at the
finish line, in the chute, and taking their tag to the scorer than the boys did.
Thanks for a great job done.
5) I have asked the coaches of the top three teams (boys and girls) to send me T-shirt
sizes. In the past, several teams' runners didn't fit into them, so this
year the will have to wait a few weeks, but the sizes will be right.
6) Thanks to all who helped. It was greatly appreciated.
