CCS All-Time Top 100 : Track events from 400 on up (no relays) and all field events (except LJ) have been updated from this years marks and other past marks discovered through the year.

PAL Dual Meets : PAL results I grabbed from the newspaper.

XC Time : I'll be posting just one more meet (Jr Natl's) on this Track page, all new posts will be under 2003 XC, so go to: 2003 Cross-Country to see what's going on this summer and next Fall.

All-Mercury News T & F : The Merc puts together its All-Mercury News Team for T&F, I just wish I could get the pics they use as well.

Lynbrook All-Time Records : The record book at Lynbrook was really re-written this year with 96 marks getting added to the 'class' record list but an all time high of 35 marks getting on the All-Time Top 10 List. The VB 4x1 & 4x4 teams lead the way with a #2 ranking in both. Khan gets #2 spot in the 400 while Deal & Roberts are #3 in the LJ & 200. Wong moves to #5 in the 100 with Bencomo coming in at #9. Diana Lin takes #3 in the TJ while Julie Chen grabs #5 for the 100LH. Many more performances, take a look at the 2003 TOP MARKS list for all the others.

SJ Mercury News : Chad Blanchard (Los Gatos) in the news.

Saratoga News : Follmar & Kay win State Titles, coverage is winding down.

HIGH JUMPERS LISTEN UP! : Any high jumpers that are interested in continuing their training through the summer would be welcome to contact our jumps coach Darrin Garcia for more details on his summer program. Contact him at vikingact@yahoo.com. The sky's the limit.

Lynbrook XC : We start on June 16th at 6:00pm and will run every M/W throughout the summer meeting at Lynbrook. Anyone is welcome to come run with us.

SJ Mercury News : State Meet Trials - 3 articles - great coverage for our sport.

Lynbrook @ State: According to Darrin, Lynbrook was either 5th or 6th in our heat finishing with a 3:22.3 time. Splits of Roberts (51.2), Bencomo (51.2), Deal (51.3), Khan (48.3) - waiting for official time. Which I just found to be 3:22.62, team PR but no SR. Don't know if they advance.

SJ Mercury News : and the coverage just keeps on comin' - this time on Nik Kay.

SJ Mercury News : Right before State you figure they'll be some good news coverage... and there is.

Saratoga News : Covers CCS Track Championships by Eric Fontes (ex-Fremont distance man).

CCS Track Evaluation Meeting : Is being held on Tuesday, June 10th at 4:00 at the CCS office. I'm sure they will be discussing At-Large standards for the CCS Meet - if interested, you might want to attend to voice your opinions.

DVC All-Comer Meets : Starting July 2nd and running for 5 weeks - check out the link.

CCS 4x400 Video : The Varsity Boys 4x400 as taken by a Lynbrook parent - but some other teams can be seen as well :) - take a look if interested.

Chabot All-Comer Meets : Start Tuesdays June 24th at 5:30 PM for high school and above. Thursdays June 26th at 5:30 PM for middle school and below. The meets will run until July 24th.

Athletes of the Week : Wusu/Miller and Kay/Becker are the Peninsula & South Bay SJ Mercury News Athletes of the Week.

The Tech : Two great things happening... if you're a 'Gamer', check out the MAXGAMES. And a great movie in the IMAX dome featuring Marion Jones called TOP SPEED opens on June 26th.

CCS Finals : Congratulations to CCS Medalist Julie Chen (100m hurdles 15.74); Garrick Wong (100m. 11.18); Durrell Roberts (200m 22.09); and the State Meet Bound 1600m Relay team (Roberts 49.1, Bencomo 50.6, Deal 54.1, Khan 48.8). Also, a special congratulations for our honorary Lady Viking Allie Miller for her 5'9.25" high jump victory (#4 in the State). Cerritos here we come!

SJ Mercury News : Sprinter (Mike Boulton-Mitty) Sets Sight On State Meet.

Saratoga News : Follmar Ready to Run in CCS Finals.

Caitlin Chock : Her race against anorexia nervosa.

SJ Mercury News : Veronica Walker (Oak Grove) is this weeks Athlete of the Week.

CCS Trials : Folks that make it on to the CCS Finals are Julie Chen, Garrick Wong, Durrell Roberts, Chris Deal, Chris Bencomo and Taimur Kahn.

SJ Mercury News : Soph Alicia Follmar (Saratoga) is highlighted in this article.

SCVAL 'Qualifier' : And the CCS Top Marks list undergoes some additional changes. Lynbrook 4x1 improve on their Section leading time with a 42.78 and also move on in the 4x4. Julie Chen advances with a 2nd place finish in the 100LH, as does Diana Lin with a 1st in the TJ. Although there is no official team scoring done at this combined meet, if there was, VB would win 68 to 56 over Los Altos.

Monterey Herald : Monterey Bay League finals are now complete and the Herald covers the meet.

Lynbrook Track Party : The End-Of-Year Party is set for Tue (May 27th), get your uniform in before then or you'll owe $'s.

SJ Mercury News : Jacob Tolbert (Silver Creek) is the Mercury Athlete of the Week.

Rumble at Leagues : Seniors Claire Johnson and Kate Bossange mix it up a bit at last weeks League Finals. It's hard to say who the winner was... (:20 AVI file - might need to SAVE LINK AS to get it to work) or play in IE.

Nick Cunningham : Gets a birthday present, some news coverage and is heading to UCSB.

DAL Finals : Durrell Roberts wins the 100, 200 (with a 1-2-3 Lynbrook sweep) and runs on both the winning 4x1 & 4x4 relays to lead Lynbrook Boys to a DAL Championship. JV Girls also take the Championships while F/S Boys and Varsity Girls each take 5th. Way to go Vikings!

DAL Trials : Garrick Wong moves to #5 All-Time when he runs :11.11 at the DAL Trials - School Record is :10.84 by Steve Bennett '76. JV Girls also take a commanding lead over Gunn (79 to 25) to try to nail down the League Championship.

Julia Stamps : is on her way back... looking to the Olympic Marathon Trials! Great article with something for all female athletes to think about, and coaches too.

Salinas Vs Holister : Great article on a Great Meet. The win streak comes to an end for the Balers.

Palo Alto : A meet that would decide the VB & JVG Dual Meet League Champs. A great duel in all 4 divisions. Paly took the VB crown (decided from the 2 mile) and Lynbrook got the JV Girls (a solid effort thru the whole day). Next stop, League Finals Tue & Thur at De Anza JC.

NHSTCA : A new (?) National organization for HS Track & Field. Check out the e-mail I got or go to their web site.

CCS Top 8 : Fantastic race in the Varsity Boys 4x400... Roberts (50.8), Bencomo (50.9), Deal (51.8), Kahn (50.2) for a 3:23.7 first place finish - but alas, the team is DQ'd for throwing the baton. Next time...

: Lynbrook XC is off to Hawaii! The Vikings will be taking 7 guys & 7 gals (plus 2 coaches) to O'ahu to run in the Big Aloha XC Invite on Sept 20th. Please help in our fundraising by participating in the Viking 5K on June 1st on the Lynbrook campus (see flyer above). Aloha!

SJ Mercury News : More press - this time is Los Gatos Wildcats getting the coverage.

SJ Mercury News : Lots of articles on Thornberry, Samples, Faules & Becker this past week.

Hampton/Phillips : PR's galore for the Lynbrook Vikes. One of the biggest was a sub-50 quarter (49.84) by Taimur Kahn. Wakabayashi just misses 'dipping' in the 3200 with a 12:00.46 mark.

Kim Gleeson : See how last year's CCS champ in the Shot & Disc is doing her Freshman year at Davis.

Monterey Herald : Talks about Cunningham, Gallup and others.

SJ Mercury News : Has articles on Athlete of the Week Jeremy Mineau (M-A) and Fermen Smith (Prospect).

London Marathon Video : Check it out. It's the last 34 seconds of the mens race where 5 guys finish within 5 seconds of each other (2:07:56).

San Benito Hollister : An update on the HayBalers.

Los Altos : It came down to the Mile Relay in the VG with Los Altos getting the win. Lynbrook took the Varsity Boys, and the JV Girls remain undefeated.

San Mateo Times : Article on the Serra Top 7 Meet.

SJ Mercury News : Lynbrook's Relay teams get some nice coverage from the Mercury this morning.

F/S Top 8 : A great, and COLD, meet. Christina Liu drops her PR in the 800 by 5 seconds (2:39) and Courtney Eirich PR's in both the 400 (65.89) and 200 (28.89).

Summer Track Camps : Some are already starting to put their programs together. This is from the Silver Bullets - more to follow.

Saratoga : Once again in came down to the Mile Relay but this time for the F/S Boys. It was a great race but Saratoga got the win. Another PR for DeSimone in the 800 (2:10.54) and a quick 4x100 (43.93) for Wong, Roberts, Kahn & Bencomo. The JV Girls remain undefeated, led by Peng's win in both hurdles & 200, Fisker taking Shot/Disc and Gardner the TJ/LJ.

Stanford Invite : Boys 4x100 & 4x400 run the fastest times in the Section (43.39 & 3:25.05) while taking 6th & 2nd.

Amanada Thornberry Interview : thanks to DyeStat and Doug Speck - some great insights on this fantastic runner.

Wilcox : A tough meet with Lynbrook winning the VB & JVG (undefeated). Calvin Wu unleashes a 125-5 throw to get on the Lynbrook All-Time list.

CCS History : A great job by the CCS office adding the BOYS history to what they already had done with the GIRLS history.

SJ Mercury : Gives an article on HS Track and this weekends Stanford Invitational.

Gunn : JV Girls come through big time to keep Gunn from sweeping all 4 divisions. Exciting 200-400 races for the VB and a great 4x100 finish for VG.

WV Relays : A School Record in the Girls 4x1600, DeSimone gets on the F/S record board with a 2:12 800, Luis Jensen gets the Soph SR in the 1500.

Los Gatos : It came down to the Mile Relay in the VG with Los Gatos getting the win and the Victory. Lynbrook took the other 3 divisions with some real surprises for the coaches. Great job Vikes. The main question... is it a Boy or Girl, Darrin?

CCS Top 10 Marks : Please send any additions/corrections to Hank Lawson.

K-Bell Invite : Chris Deal jumps 44'11.5 & 21'07 (both 2nd), Claire Jounson runs 2:31.63 (8th), Diana Lin jumps 31'10.75 (7th), Rachel Doughty clears 5'00 (3rd) and Jessica Buffum 4'10 (6th), Julie Chen hits 16.91 (3rd), Justin Teng run 54.71 (1st), Luis Jensen clocks 4:52.11 (5th) and Andrew Xiao goes 11.43 (4th).

Lynbrook Heptathlon : Allen Chang beats Chris Bencomo by 10 points to take the win while Vicki Chien tops Diana Lin by 29 points to take the ladies title.

Jesse Yeh : and the long sprints for the Vikes.

Wilcox/SC Relays : Boys 4x100, 4x200, 4x300 come away with quick times. F/S DM gets the #4 on school list with VG snagging #5 all time. 4x200 VG grab a SCHOOL RECORD. Deal opens with a 43'10.5" TJ. Strong showing for the Vikes.

On The 20th Century : This year's annual show by Hank.

Francine Lee : will be covering the middle-distances for Lynbrook.

CCS Top 100 Updated (again) : And now I've done my bit by getting my events updated (Note-the 800 will not be updated until this summer).

Tony Xu : is another returning Senior who will help cover the sprints.

State T&F Preview : A great job from Doug Speck of DyeStatCal on a preview of all the events.

De Anza Alumni Meet : Oh no! A DQ (he wasn't really an Alum) forces another re-score and the Alums now lose 59-54... wait til next year.

De Anza Alumni Meet : Alums Win! Due to a scoring error in the LJ, the Alums actually prevail with a 58-55 victory.

Los Gatos AC : Meet #4 - check here for results (thru 01/25).

Kate Bossange : is a top returning Senior for the Vikes this year - check out her bio.
