'78 CROSS-COUNTRY

Lynbrook Vikings.

Camino West: Lots of CCS athletes ran for Camino West after their HS careers.

AAU Jr XC: Frank Plasso leading the men's race at the AAU Jr meet.

California AAU XC: Junior Roxanne Bier wins at Crystal with a PR 17:01.2 time.

STAL Finals: Gonzalez, Cooper, Trujillo & Balderas.

DAL All League: Jesse Colvin & Dave Fishback make All-League.

DAL Finals : Jesse Colvin (1st) comes up big from last years 13th place finish with a 15:36 clocking, and the Vikes move from 5th to 2nd. The Lady Vikes field their first DAL team with Ann Robinson (16th) leading with a 22:17 time and the team finishing 5th.

Crystal Springs #3 : Fitchen (1st) in Frosh Boys leads Lynbrook to a 2nd place team finish.

Jeff Nelson: After winning MtSAC Inv and setting a Course Record, there was a nice profile on Jeff Nelson in Cal Track News.

Crystal Springs #2 : Jesse Colvin (2nd) in the Varsity Boys race.

Alum Rock Invite: Start of the race with Carlos Carrasco (MP) leading the way.

Prop 13: A participation fee ($10 per athlete) is enforced to offset the loss of dollars from Prop 13.

Coaching Shortage: Walk-on coaches begin to help out as Head Coaches.
