DAL Results: Lynbrook finished about where expected and had some wonderfull races along the way. About 25 athletes qualified on for PostSeason play. Check out the DAL Photos.
CCS Coaches: There was a mistake in the CCS Bulletin that was sent out. Check link to left, notice that some leagues qualifying numbers have been changed - SCVAL for one.
CCS Team Results: Another slick little toy from coach Rand at Gunn - now we don't need to run the CCS meet. It also allows team results in the F/S division, something we havn't had at the CCS finals for 20+ years.
SCVAL-EC Coaches: Why run the league meet when you can see who'll win by clicking to the left - thanks Rand.

CCS Top Marks in SJ Mercury News: Folks - just so you know what's going on... I have been sending the SJ Mercury News the Top 10 CCS Track marks since the K-Bell meet. I asked when they were going to publish in the Merc - seems that the Top Track & Swim marks take up a bit more space then they planned on allocating to the HS section so they will not be publishing them (although they will continue to list them on the SJ Merc site). I, however, will only continue to list the marks here on LynbrookSports.Com and will not be providing the Merc with the info (although they are welcome to link to my site). So, all future Top 20 lists will only be available on LynbrookSports (until they are requested by the Merc).
SCVAL Meet Preview: Here's something rather slick that Gunn HJ coach Rand Crippen came up with. It uses data from last seasons SCVAL Top Marks list and will calculate, based on retunees, how your team will do matched up against other schools in the league.

Ernie Lee (Gunn HS) pointed out that these records appear to be only for Europe and North America. He is trying to get me a World List (which he says most of the distance records are held by Kenyans).

Alumni Meet: The Lynbrook Alums (Justin Teng, Jason Balkman, Taimur Khan, Luis Jensen, Johnny Huizar, Chris Deal & Durrell Roberts) proved that, where a squad of 7 showed up on a rain soaked track to take on a team of 60. The Alums prevailed with a 49-33 win.

Auto Entries from Leagues to CCS Trials: There is a proposal out there that will change the automatic entries from Leagues to CCS Trials (this is not in regards to the Auto-Qualifying Mark proposal). Leagues that only get 1 entry would now get 2 entries and Legues getting more than 3 entries would loose entries to make up for the shift. This might be in effect for 2006 or wait til the 2007 season - depends on the BOM.
American Athletics: One coaches view on why HS athletes marks were so much better some 30 years ago.
