CCS Finals: A Great Night! Kim Gleeson wins two events and ups her School Record in the shot (42'03.25") while Sheridon McPherson places 5th in the TJ (36'10") and Julie Chen takes 7th in the 100H (15.82). Lynbrook Girls finish 7th as a team, best finish since 1991. San Jose Mercury News has some in-depth coverage.

SCVAL 'Qualifier' Meet: The two divisions have been merged and the Top 16 SCVAL Qualifiers are listed. If you have any questions, contact Hank Lawson and Walt VanZant ASAP. Please send all scratches to us also - no alternates will be used at this meet. The question in the VB 100 has been resolved - check top 16 qualifiers.
DAL Finals: McPherson increases her School Record in the TJ with a 36'09" leap. F/S Boys are League Meet Champions. Gleeson takes shot & disc for the second year in a row.
DAL Trials: Chris Deal wins both the LJ & TJ. Berson PR's in the 3200 as do Ngo, Goslicka & Kuo.
Los Gatos: Final Dual of the season has Lynbrook winning 3 of the 4 division (lost VG). Gleeson breaks her School Record in the Shot with a 41'04" heave. VG 4x100 run 50.4 while Julie Chen runs 16.2 in the hurdles. Meyer triples in VB with the 1600 (4:51), 100M (12.4) and 2 mile (11:23) taking all 3rds. Rimmer finally clears 6'00 and has a great shot at 6'02. Deal, Rimmer, Chang all pop great efforts in the LJ & TJ. Roberts wins the 100 & 200 looking quick.
SJ Mercury : Kim Gleeson is named SJ Mercury Girls Athlete Of the Week.

Regina Jacobs : Is setting her sights on the Steeplechase for the 2002 season as reported by the SF Chronicle.
Top 8 : Julie Chen PR's in the long & short hurdles, Kate Boassange PR's in the 400 and the F/S 4x400 team of Taimur Khan, Justin Teng, Chris Deal and Durrell Roberts get the #6 All Time F/S Lynbrrok time and are setting their sights on a school record (a mere 4 seconds away). Kim Gleeson is Female Field Athlete by winning both the Shot and Disc and the Lynbrook Girls finish tied for 6th in the Team competition and the F/S Boys finished 7th.
Uniform Rule : There have been alot of questions and concerns about the Uniform Rule. Los Altos coach Julia Widstrand sent an e-mail to CIF Rules Guru Hal Harkness and this was his response.
3-Way : A great kick-back meet for Lynbrook so no presure. Athletes got to run some different events on a great track. Whitsett has a major breakthru with a 4:42 1600.
Wilcox: The Vikings had a tough day, loosing all 4 divisions. Roberts wins the 100 & 200 while Deal & Rimmer go 1-2 in the jumps.
SF Invite : Bossange PR's in the 400 (again), Whitsett drops his 1500 time, Wakabayashi & Goslicka continue to improve, Meyer is on the verge of a sub-5:00 mile.
F/S Top 8 : Deal wins Triple Jump, 4x100 girls take 3rd (with a distance runner anchoring), and the Boys 4x400 take the win!
Los Altos: Back on the winning track - the Vikings take 3 out of the 4 divisions. Allan Chang finishes (and wins) the hurdles without falling. Bossange and Wakabayashi continue to PR as does Meyer in the Mile. Khan and Roberts make a killer 1-2 punch in the 400.
Paly: It came down to the Mile Relay for both the Var Girls and F/S Boys - we lost the first but won the latter. Bossange & McPherson continue to set PRs.
Sproul Award : 1998 Lynbrook Grad Jennifer Chang (XC '94,'95 & '97) gets Berkeley's highest student award - way to go Jennifer!

Gunn: And the F/S meet would be decided by the last event ... the LONG JUMP. Yes, the Mile Relay was done but the jumpers were still going. Lynbrook had a 1-2-3 sweep going which would give us the win with only two Gunn jumps left. He lept and flew, into second place for a Gunn victory.

WV Relays : New School Records in the girls Sprint Relay and 2000 Steeplechase (Soo Lee), while the F/S Boys finish 6th in the team race.
St Francis: Tough meet but some great marks. McPherson improves to 34'7", Chien jumps 4'10, Bossange 64.83, Goslicka 2:52.11 and a great run by the VG 4x400 team. Next up, Gunn HS.
CCS Top Marks : The Top Marks list for CCS - 2002 is now up. It is incomplete (all girl events aren't done) for I want to watch a little TV -- it will be finished on Tuesday. Send updates and corrections to Hank Lawson.
K-Bell : Buffum, Wakabayashi, Goslicka, Bossange, Heish all set personal bests.
Santa Clara : A great way to start! Lynbrook goes 3-1 with the loss being in the Varsity Boys. Gleeson improves on her School Record with a 139'0" throw. McPherson leaps 34'00" in TJ to move to #3 All Time. Rimmer comes from behind to win the Mile Relay and Chang leaves some skin on the track.
SC/Wilcox Relays : A beautiful spring day (too bad it's Feb) and the Vikes win numerous events on the track as well as the field.
