Field Events start at 10AM
Track Events start at 11 AM
Field Events: Pole Vault, High Jump, Long Jump, Discus, Shot Put
Track Events: 4X100MR, 1600M, 110MH, 100M, 400M, 100M, 800M, 300MH, 200M, 3200M, 4X400MR
(Participants can compete an multiple events)
$10 online/$15 at the gate

Varsity Girls 400 was quick! Guys 1600 saw a 47 year old MR get broken.
SCVAL Qualifier: Soaked during the 4x100's, soaked after the 1600, all I can say was Soaked on Saturday.
SCVAL Post-season Track Meeting: is Tuesday, May 154th at 7:00pm at Santa Clara Admin building (same as usual). If you have anything you would like to put on the agenda, please email Julie by Sunday, May 12th.
The Great Highway in San Francisco (where Bay To Breakers finishes) in the 20's & 30's.
Hannah Rutherford (Mt View) cleans up at the CCS Top 8 with two Meet Records (200/400) and Athlete Of The Meet award.
A nice article in the SJ Mercury this morning about Carson Hedlund (Pioneer) and Grant Morgenfeld (Palo Alto).
It's not often that you get to see a 41 year old School Record broken at a Dual Meet but that's what sophomore Daniela Hughes (Los Altos) did in the 200 at the Los Altos/Palo Alto dual with a fine 24.46 clocking (#2 in CCS this year).
Lot's of fantastic marks at Arcadia and one was a new CCS Record in the VG Shuttle Hurdle Relay. Mitty ran 1:01.47 (3rd) breaking the 1:03.32 (Mt Pleasant '10). Team of Laniah Simpson(11) ,Tiana Osuna(12), Shiloh Haliburton-Rudy(10), Taylor Oden(12). See VIDEO here.

On March 11th at the New Balance Indoor Nationals, Grant Morgenfeld (Palo Alto) broke the CCS 2 mile/3200 All Time record with a 8:51.17 (full 2 miles) for 2nd place. Breaking Nolan Topper's (Bellarmine '21) mark. See VIDEO here.
Back in 1959 the Paly distance crew led the Nation in the 4x880, 4xmile and DMR with all the same runners.

With Palo Alto competeing against Lynbrook this week, here is the Paly team from 1909. Results from the Pre-State meet shows Paly had some good athletes in 1906 & 1912.

Henry Rono (WSU) Was a multiple WR holder (5k, 10k, 3k, Steeple) in 1978 where he set all of those records in an 81 day span. He passed away at the age of 72 on Feb 15, 2024.
The Stanford Mascot, Prince Lightfoot, when they were the Stanford "Indians". He passed in 1988 at the age of 64.
